2 things I love - meeting women in high places (it’s all the motivation in the world) and trying new cuisines. Over the weekend I got to do both - I was invited to dinner with the Ambassador of Morocco, Her Excellency Imane Ouaadil!
It’s been such an interesting week!
I got an invitation from the Embassy of Israel to a dinner event with The Ambassador of Israel to Ghana, Liberia & Sierra Leone H.E. Ms. Shani Cooper-Zubida, who is now my new WCE. Seriously, she’s super friendly and very interesting. Plus we have the same name!
The dinner, “Taste of Israel” was curated by Israeli Masterchef Kobi Mizrahi.
Thai food is such a flavourful experience. Easily one of my top 10 cuisines. Their food is centred around rice, noodles, sauces and soups, and is made with lots of spices, sharp flavors like lemon, and peanuts. Lots and lots of peanuts (it’s insane, almost everything has peanuts. If you’re allergic or simply don’t like them, you could just have it made without).
If you’re a fan of Thai food or interested in trying it, these are 4 places in Accra and 1 in Kumasi you can get very good Thai food from
(You do not get to judge the name of this post. S/O to Emefa Zormelo😂❤️)
Dubai is easily one of my favourite places ever! And no, not completely based off the fact that I have NEVER had to correct anyone’s pronunciation of my name but because its absolutely beautiful. It’s definitely one of those places you need to visit at least once in your lifetime - it’s like they took all the beautiful things in this world and put them in one place.
I have a whole list of must-try cuisines, and Ethiopian has been on my list for a while soooo I finally did it!
I had an Ethiopian date night with a friend and we tried the Ethiopian buffet at Simret Ethiopian
It’s #ThrowbackThursday, so this post is dedicated to 30 foods/snacks/candy/drinks that defined the average Ghanaian childhood.
I’ve been super excited about this review in particular because my waistline has started to suffer again and a #fitfam break is long overdue. One of my biggest problems with healthy eating is and has always been the meal prep - it usually takes too much time and/or I get bored fast with the options available to me.
But great news - I recently found this really neat healthy food business on IG that solves that problem COM-PLE-TELY.
I had planned to end last year with a Kumasi food crawl but a lot came up, so this month that was the first thing on my list. If you’re planning a trip to Kumasi anytime soon, these are 10 of the places we managed to squeeze into my super short visit which I would recommend.
First international review of the year - Hello Germany!
We’re live in Morocco - #ZubzzDotComTakesMarrakesh!
After being invited to dinner with the ambassador I knew I had to visit, so my second international review of the year is dedicated to Marrakesh, Morocco!
