Vacation On The Beach - The C Resort!

Spent the most peaceful 48 hours I’ve had this month at a beach resort in Ningo Prampram called The C Residences & Resort. It was such a super quiet, super peaceful vibe I considered extending my stay. Ningo-Prampram is just about 2 hours outside Accra, which makes it a great daycation destination for those who dont want to stay overnight.

The Resort is made up of chalets/suites and apartments spread across a large beachfront area with 2 restaurants and 3 pools.

I initially picked a 2 bedroom apartment but I switched to a Deluxe Ocean View Room.

Both rooms were lovely but the ocean view deluxe was my definitely my top pick - it has full length windows that open right out onto the beach. It’s a BEAUTIFUL view at any point in time of the day.

The rooms are spread out in 2 sections - there’s the Residence which is close to the main pool & restaurant etc and the Breeze which is in the quieter side of the resort. The Breeze has a restaurant as well, but the menu is limited.

There is wifi (which unfortunately doesn’t reach all corners of the resort) and an on-demand laundry service. The network in the area is good, thankfully so you dont have to worry about being disconnected from the world.

There are no phones in the room, but you’re given a personal concierge and the reception number so any/everything you request for is brought to you.

There are 40 rooms in all, under 3 categories - One bedroom, studio and 2 bedroom (Deluxe options available):

  1. Deluxe One Bedroom Ocean View

¢1500/night on weekdays, ¢1800/night on weekends.

    Location: The Residence

2. Deluxe Two Bedroom

¢1780/night weekdays, ¢2200/night weekends.

Location: The Breeze

3. Lighthouse - Deluxe Two Bedroom

¢1780/night weekdays, ¢2200/night weekends.

Location: The Breeze

4. Deluxe Studio

¢1155/night weekdays, ¢1295/night weekends for main room

Location: The Residence

5. Deluxe One Bedroom

6. Deluxe Two Bedroom

¢1780/night weekdays, ¢2200/night weekends.

Location: The Residence

7. Deluxe Studio

¢1155/night weekdays, ¢1295/night weekends.

Location: The Residence

8. Deluxe Studio

¢1155/night weekdays, ¢1295/night weekends for main room,

¢800/night weekdays, ¢1080/night weekends per room for other 2 rooms,

Location: The Residence

9. Deluxe Studio

¢1155/night weekdays, ¢1295/night weekends.

Location: The Breeze

10. Standard One Bedroom

¢950/night weekdays, ¢1150/night weekends.

Location: The Breeze

11. Deluxe Studio

¢1155/night weekdays, ¢1295/night weekends.

Location: The Breeze

All the rooms come with breakfast, which is available from 8:00am.

There are 2 options, English, which comes with a choice of eggs served with sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans & toast served with butter & jam and Mediterranean which comes with a choice of eggs served with a soft pita bread, toast, fava beans, greek yoghurt, butter & jam. See the full menu here.

I picked the English one and requested it be brought to the beach. The mushroom portion was a little on the small side but it was pretty filling.

Their food is good! I had the

  • Thai Chicken Curry with Thai Rice (10/10 meal. Absolutely delicious, very creamy. They didn’t forget my no onions request)

  • Pasta (This tasted good but was a little dry. Ask for more oil if you feel that way)

  • Club Sandwich with Fries

  • Calamari

  • Spring Rolls (Which were SO good I got a second portion)

  • Chicken wings (I picked the grilled option and I’m happy to report not only were they delicious, the meat wasn’t hard. I hate when eating wings feels like a battle) and

  • A Frozen Daiquiri (Bottoms up!)

I didn’t get to try the steak because they advised it would take a while, or the rest of their seafood because they’re between suppliers and didn’t have any lobster or prawn available.

Room service doesnt come at an extra cost but the kitchen closes at 9, so you need to order in advance if you’ll eat late.

There are horses, a turtle hatchery and a few beach games (like volleyball) for both overnight and day guests. On Saturdays, you can get a massage by the pool, on the rooftop , by the beach - basically wherever there’s enough space for the masseuse to set up.

It’s a perfect space for a getaway from Accra - for just a few hours, or days. Day Guests are required to pay ¢200 per person on weekends and holidays, and ¢100 on weekdays. For children 4-15 years, it’s ¢100 everyday. Horse riding costs ¢100 for 30 minutes, but all other activities are free.

The manager is SUPER helpful, and there’s always someone in charge you can speak to if you need to. They don’t arrange pick ups but it’s under ¢100 via uber on a good day, so if you dont want to drive, that’s an option.

You can reach them via Instagram, Email or Phone to book.
